Festival Of The BREASTS!!!
Sunday, June 15th 2008,  4pm
Stork Club, 23rd St. & Telegraph, Downtown Oakland

(510) 444-6174

The Festival of Breasts was originally conceived as an epic music festival that would take place at The Rack Lodge, in Wyoming's Grand Teton National Park. The bill was going to be filled by bands that had breasts or know somebody who did.  Eventually, the idea morphed into a Sunday BBQ at the Stork Club with real and/or fake breasts. even chicken breasts...We will celebrate all things round & soft, like a nice pair of boobs. There will be dancing, autograph signing, and performers will be encouraged to exhibit  their knockers... It is going to be awesome!

MILL RACE 12am

Death Progressive Swing Metal  from Salem Oregon

Lo to medium-fi new wave-y prog for folks who may dislike Tolkien. Cosmic cowbot music. Indie rock Bartok kiddie tunes. Spare, minimalist, biker-bar art-metal w/analog synth. etc.etc.

BRAD ELECTRO 11pm

Tits-Off Dance Party

BradElectro has been performing live electronic music in clubs, undergrounds, renegades and churches for more than 7 years. Originally starting with the classic MMT-8 sequencer, he switched to the Roland MC-909 and now currently rocks Abelton Live alongside an arsenal of outboard effects and his mighty Mackie mixer. Gear doesn't make the groove but it helps, and BradElectro is definitely not just a laptop jockey. Musically, his love for vocals and melody is obvious in his songs, but like many of his Chicago heroes, the man can get tracky as well.

APPLE PIE HOPES  10:30pm

Freak Folk Extravaganza

Guitar, mandolin, banjo, accordion, washboard & 5 voices showcasing original compositions reminiscent of Appalachian, Country Blues, & Sweetwater Ballads as well as faithful interpretations & one-of-a-kind
arrangements performed with authentic Vaudvillianesque showmanship. A display of true Americana, pre-dating democracy & post-dating the Apocalypse...a modern-day comic book in song. Recently opened for he EXTRA-ACTION MARCHING BAND

A.S.P.  10pm

The Overlords of Underwear

In their first gig ever, chorus, verse, and bridge will be treated as seperate songs that can be reinserted in the set and revisited as necessary. Noise will be countered by pop and pop will be balanced by noise. The set will resemble a trainwreck medley of hooks. Of course, I should consult the other guys first before I write this. Band includes Joe Rut, Anthony Da Rosa, Miles Steuding, and Sir David Hologram.

THE HAPPY CLAMS  9pm

Joyous Bi-valve Blues

And on the eighth day God made the place that opened up in the morning and served donuts and coffee. In no time flat we ended up with a lot of people being born in the 20th century. Three of them became members of
the group The Happy Clams, who ride the Back 40 charts of what we know as today's Un-Pop music. One of them had a donut and coffee the other day. Coincidence? I think not.

THE BLEU CANADIANS 8pm

Anatomically Correct Canadian Garage Music

As a caviat to the NAFTA Legislation, the Canadian government had to designate a band as ambassador to the States. Therefore, THE BLEU CANADIANS are special envoys to ROCK! HARD! Prepare to be delighted by the cool and frosty sensations that were previously reserved for the ice highways in the Yukon Territory. Get ready to get pulped, like the output of the forests of the Great White North! Come to terms that every snowflake is unique, and relish the spatztic organism of THE BLEU CANADIANS!!!! Free Quebec! Free Quebec!

5 CENT COFFEE  7pm

Not your Granny's Brothel Music

5 Cent Coffee is an eclectic trio dedicated to organic old fashioned sound; an amalgamation of a by-gone nation, mixed with the fresh scent of a smile or the wail of a lament.Ukulele driven original material with stand up bass and melodeon - throw in a washboard, a kazoo - some junk, an old shoe, wear a grumpy hat, cry a tear or two, and you're there by the side of an old dusty highway...

THE CLARENCES 6pm

Abba meets the Partridge Family

Meet THE CLARENCES, a melody driven, power pop rock band hailing from Oakland, California. THE CLARENCES offer a fresh perspective on the often formulaic pop band routine. Their music AND their concerts are
lively, sometimes silly and always rocking. THE CLARENCES believe there is one thing that will never let you down, and that's 'Rock 'N Roll !!!

BUNNY NUMPKINS & The KILL BLOW-UP REACTION  5:30pm

Post-Puppet Angst

Guitarist/banjoist Patrick Swayze Double Dragon met bassist Thumper Thighston in Freedom, Oklahoma while performing in a circus sideshow. While busking in downtown Tucumcari, New Mexico, they met Lady
Mondegreen, a third generation singing hobo. They met drummer Frank Lloyd Wrong working as a bartender at a questionable establishment named Girls, Girls, Girls somewhere along Highway 25 in Wyoming. After being permanently banned from performing at the Wind River Indian Reservation for unbecoming behavior, they moved to sunny California so could dedicate all their time to practicing for the upcoming International Double Dutch Championship Competition. Together, they are Bunny Numpkins and the Kill Blow-Up Reaction.

PLASTERKATZ 5pm

Pub Preservationist Party Poppers

This five-member band uses an eclectic variety of instruments, from standard drums-guitar-bass to mandolin, violin, harmonica, saxophone, theremin,
bodhran, stand-up electric bass, banjo, megaphone, washboard, djembe, dumbek, spoons, the cool side drum, slide whistle, penny whistle, recorder, ukulele, cabasa, shushooka, keyboards, synthesizer, and
concertina.

THE LEMMIES 4pm

Elegant Girl-punk from Sacramento!

were born one drunken night at the Flame Club when Dahlia and Sailor were discussing Lemmy and blow. Tuka was laughing and pretending to stroke her mole. They started to play but wanted more musicians obsessed with Lemmy's mole to join in. A few weeks later, Dahlia and Sailor met Disco Liz at Paul Filthy and Adam Varona's birthday party. After talking shit on Top Model for two hours we asked her what she thought of Lemmy and his mole, She said "I'm down!". So here
we are, ready to rock you and hopefully change your mind about moles, especially Lemmy's mole. Thanks for coming to a show! Love,

The Lemmies!
