Festival
Of The FANS!!!
The Festival of Fans was originally conceived as an epic music festival that would take place at the Altamont Pass among the windmills and gigantic fans. The bill was going to be filled by bands created from the lists of throwaway band names that bands generate when they are trying to name their band. "Rollercoaster Kitty," "Hippy Ice Cream Truck," and "The Polyester Foresters" are examples of potential openers. Eventually, the idea morphed into a Sunday BBQ at the Stork Club with real bands. We will celebrate things fantastic, like a bunch of fanatics. There will be fan dancing, autograph signing, and performers will be encouraged to sing through the spinning blades of a fan. It is going to be awesome!
home grown cult figure Mike Glendinning is a Bay Area Songwriter and musician. His own original music really began to take off in 2002 when he built a home studio and started recording original compositions. Nine months later Mike put out his first CD- Machine In The Sky - featuring himself on guitar and his wife, Christina, singing.
BRAD ELECTRO 12pm Buck Rogers cruising music BradElectro has been performing live electronic music in clubs, undergrounds, renegades and churches for more than 7 years. Originally starting with the classic MMT-8 sequencer, he switched to the Roland MC-909 and now currently rocks Abelton Live alongside an arsenal of outboard effects and his mighty Mackie mixer. Gear doesn't make the groove but it helps, and BradElectro is definitely not just a laptop jockey. Musically, his love for vocals and melody is obvious in his songs, but like many of his Chicago heroes, the man can get tracky as well.
ROLLERCOASTER SUMMER 11pm summertime anthems Members of Bunny Numpkins and the Kill Blow-Up reaction have split off with one goal in mind. To set up a tour this summer that mingles gigs with visits to the 13 Great America amusement parks that are scattered across the country and Canada using their season pass for $89.95! As well, a visit the Corn Palace will not be out of order.

(Canadian garage music As a caviat to the NAFTA Legislation, the Canadian government designated THE BLEU CANADIANS asspecial envoys to ROCK! HARD! Prepare to be overwhelmed by the cool and frosty sensations that were previously reserved for the ice highways in the Yukon Territory. Get ready to get pulped, like the output of the forests of the Great White North. Come to terms that every snowflake is unique, and relish the spatztic organism of THE BLEU CANADIANS!!!! Free Quebec! Free Quebec!
THE LEMMIES 7pm elegant all girl Sacramento punkers were born one drunken night at the Flame Club when Dahlia and Sailor were discussing Lemmy and blow. Tuka was laughing and pretending to stroke her mole. They started to play but wanted more musicians obsessed with Lemmy's mole to join in. A few weeks later, Dahlia and Sailor met Disco Liz at Paul Filthy and Adam Varona's birthday party. After talking shit on Top Model for two hours we asked her what she thought of Lemmy and his mole, She said "I'm down!". So here we are, ready to rock you and hopefully change your mind about moles, especially Lemmy's mole. Thanks for coming to a show! Love, The Lemmies!
OCTOBER ALLIED 6pm rumblin' rabble-rowsers has crafted a unique sound that combines vintage tones and modern songwriting. Their music stradles the past and the future of rock-and-roll. Masters of post-punk modernism who have become serious students of blues, country, jazz, r&b, and soul, the band’s honest reverence of their musical heritage is unmistakable, but never takes the form of revivalism.
THE HAPPY CLAMS 5pm un-pop a collection of "hasn't beens", are on the forefront of the Un-Pop Movement. The Clams will remain standard bearers of the movement as long as their music remains unpopular. This means that you, if you are a fan, are an Un-Popper by association. Being one member short for the Festival of the Fans, this special performance of the "not entirely" Happy Clams will consist of guitar and banjo. Another brilliant career move.
